ARMAND AND BING SERRANO

Armand and Bing Serrano are originally from Manila, Philippines. They met as students at the University of Santo Tomas—Armand was studying Civil Engineering, while Bing pursued a degree in Communication Arts. In 1990, shortly after graduating, Armand began his career in animation and came to faith in Christ while working at a studio in Manila. At the same time, Bing was working in a stock brokerage firm and came to faith as well. They were married in 1993 and were drawn into bi-vocational ministry, becoming deeply involved in teaching and discipleship. Armand furthered his biblical education at the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries.

In 1996, they moved to Los Angeles, but shortly after, Armand accepted a position at Walt Disney Studios, prompting their relocation to Florida. While there, Armand started a Bible study inside the studio, and together they led a discipleship ministry at a local church in Orlando for seven years.

In 2004, the Serranos returned to Los Angeles. Armand continued his animation career with major studios such as Sony Pictures Animation, Marvel, Disney (his second tenure), and Skydance. He also taught as adjunct professor at Biola University and Art Center College of Design. From 2007 to 2019, Armand and Bing were actively involved in ministry at a local church in Eastvale, CA. In 2019, Armand also had the opportunity to art direct several videos for The Bible Project.

Responding to God’s call in 2021, they launched a young adult ministry in a coffee shop in Eastvale. This gathering grew into what is now Kingdom Movement Church, which officially began in their home in November 2022. Their heart is to cultivate a church centered on the presence of Jesus, revival, and intentional discipleship. They are also connected to the Bethel Leaders Network, which provides spiritual support and connection with other leaders. This non-denominational ministry is committed to unity in the body of Christ and is building partnerships with churches and local organizations across the Riverside and Jurupa Valley areas. Armand also founded an online ministry called Industry Lighthouse, which supports and encourages both creative professionals and students to live out God’s purpose for their lives within the creative industry.

Armand and Bing currently reside in Jurupa Valley, CA. They are proud parents of three adult children, two children-in-law, and one beloved granddaughter.
